Deuteronomy 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22 Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
First off I just want to praise the Lord again!! Reading His Word tonight was just like hearing Him talk to me, reminding me, yet again, how amazing He is!
HE IS ALL I NEED!
A whole lifetime of teaching could never even touch on His glory. These past days have brought me back to such a child-like faith and adoration for God!!! I’m so thankful that even when we get in a dry spot in our Christian walk all we have to do I call to Him for water and He brings us a flood! 🙌🏼
Verse 20 was especially great tonight!! Just a little picture of our relationship with Him! I love that fearing Him and cleaving to Him are both in the same verse! It just reminds me of the kind of fear we have for Him! It’s a reverent fear, a loving fear, and a comforting fear! It reminds me of times when I’ve repented of sin in my life and though I feared Him knowing that I was in wrong and that it came with a punishment, I felt the same God I feared holding me in His arms and loving me despite- Me!
